Proximity Voice
SYS-012In-game voice that follows players around the map — hear who's near you, fall silent when they leave.
seq :: What it does
Built to run, not to demo
Proximity voice adds the layer Evrima never shipped: positional voice chat driven by real in-game positions. Players join from the browser, get matched to their dino automatically, and hear exactly the players near them in the world — louder as they approach, gone when they leave. It transforms encounters: negotiations at a contested lake, a herd coordinating a river crossing, the panic of a hunt heard rather than typed. The audio runs on a dedicated voice server with per-player positions streamed from the game several times a second, and staff get global channels and mute tools on top.
